Rosie Who Built the Mackinaw

July 26 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

We Can Do It!” Step aboard and meet Rosie the Riveter, the iconic symbol of the millions of women whose work helped keep America’s ships sailing.

During this special program, visitors can meet Rosie and learn about the many ways women supported the fleet—from shipbuilding and engineering to logistics, communications, and operations. Their determination and skill helped vessels like the Mackinaw carry out their vital missions.

Stop by to hear stories from the wartime home front, ask questions, and snap a photo with one of history’s most recognizable figures. It’s a chance to celebrate the strength, teamwork, and perseverance that helped shape maritime history.

Included with regular museum admission.
